Tour for Vintage Cars and Motorcycles
An event organized by The Drones Club of Belgium in collaboration with the Arenberg Foundation

Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026

For this fourth edition, we are heading to the charming region of French Flanders and the atmospheric Westhoek.

On Saturday, 5 September, we will explore the Cassel–Saint-Omer area, immersing ourselves in Flemish culture in France. We will meet on Saturday morning at Place Vandamme in Cassel. The day begins with a guided visit to the Musée de Flandre in Cassel, or alternatively a walk along the town ramparts. During the scenic drive that follows, we will stop for lunch in an authentic Estaminet Flamand. The major events of modern history are never far away: we will experience this during our visit to La Coupole, an impressive German structure dating from the Second World War. Saint-Omer will be the final destination of the first day, where we will take a brief tour of the town. In the evening, we will dine and stay overnight at the Mercure Hotel Saint-Omer.

On the morning of Sunday, 6 September, after breakfast, we will set course for Poperinge, where we will be welcomed at Talbot House. During the First World War, this was a British soldiers’ club, a remarkable place where servicemen of all ranks could find rest and relaxation close to the front line. We will discover the story behind this unique location. Afterwards, we will drive to Westvleteren Abbey for lunch. The highlight of the afternoon will be a visit to the Castle of Vlamertinge, where we will be received by Count Du Parc.

In short, this promises to be a fascinating route filled with culture, history and memorable encounters. More information can be found in the flyer below.
