Annual meeting of the scientific committee of the Belgian Arenberg Foundation in Enghien/Edingen

The annual meeting of the scientific committee of the Belgian Arenberg Foundation planned for the 6th of June couldn’t take place because of the coronavirus. The lunch and the medals distribution had to be cancelled as well.

Lauenen Chamber Concert

The Lauenen Chamber Concerts Association is a small and lean organisation with the objective to organise and support performances of chamber music (including chamber orchestras) in Lauenen. Other efforts have included the support of young musicians and the promotion of contemporary classical music.

Bookreview from "Les Arenberg. Le gotha à l'heure des nations (1820-1919)". Les Arenberg focusses on the analysis of the House of Arenberg in its ‘European dimension and historicising its transnational, transregional and translocal methods’ during the long nineteenth century. By doing so it aims to ‘clarify the complexity and flexibility of aristocratic strategies’ against the backdrop of the formation of several national Arenberg branches, each the result of their specific geopolitical context.
